In 2005, there will be 20 miles of recreational trails and over 660 acres of open space in Commerce City.

New Development Opportunities

With housing development set to continue soaring for at least seven years, there are fresh and exciting opportunities to pursue development throughout the city's Northern Range. Whether residential or commercial development is your specialty, choose Commerce City and enjoy the success that comes from a commitment to a "Quality Community for a Lifetime."

Prairie Gateway Project

The City envisions the Prairie Gateway to attract varied visitors as an educational, recreational, and environmentally managed destination. Key partners in the area's development include the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the area's master developer, Kroenke Sports Enterprises (KSE), with whom the City has entered into a public / private partnership.

Reunion, A Shea Homes Community

Within minutes of DIA, Buffalo Run Golf Course, and Barr Lake, this community features fabulous amenities - a 52-acre park, a recreation center to dream of, and a quasi-waterpark outdoor pool. A Town Center, additional lakes, athletic fields, a business park and retail center are all in the works. "Much more than a neighborhood, Reunion is a great new hometown."

Residential Development

Housing development in the Northern Range is flourishing, with an estimated 38,460 residences to be established by 2010. While sizeable portions of the area have been claimed by developers to date, there continue to be many opportunities for new developers to the region.
